CHRISTINE E. [STAFFORD] LEONARD COBB

Graveside services for Christine E. Cobb, 87, of Chickasha, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 21, 2005, in the Rose Hill Cemetery, with Johnny Wray officiating.

Christine E. Cobb was born September 2, 1918, in Roosevelt, Oklahoma, the daughter of Clyde Eutes Stafford and Flora (Work) Stafford. She died Wednesday, October 19, 2005, in Chickasha.

She grew up and attended grammer school in Roosevelt, Oklahoma. She moved to Chickasha as a teenager and graduated from Chickasha High School.

Christine met and married Vernon Leonard, in Chickasha. The union brought them two sons: Esten and Richard "Dick" Leonard. She was a loving and devoted mother, and cherished her sons.

Christine worked as a receptionist for PSO during the 50s and 60s.

She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many friends at the Alterra Sterling House.

She was preceded in death by three husbands: Vernon Leonard, Harry Hughes, and Arnold Cobb; and one son, Richard "Dick" Leonard.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Esten and Vera Jean Leonard, of Chickasha; two grandsons: Rodney Leonard, of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Brian and Peggy Leonard of Chickasha; one granddaughrer, April Dawn Houston, of Comanche, Oklahoma; and six great grandchildren.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
