Clyda Bessie, 86, was born to Clyde Clifton Lee and Bessie Belle Rushton on October 7, 1925, in Kiowa County, Oklahoma. She went to be with her Lord on July 18, 2012.

Clyda was a member of Mimosa Heights Christian Church. She grew up on the farm in Kiowa County and graduated from Cooperton High School. She attended the junior college at Carnegie in 1942. From February 1944 to August 1945, she worked at Douglas Aircraft, later known as Tinker Air Force Base, as a riveter and worked on the C47 and C54 airplanes. Clyda married Jesse Lewis Teer on May 15, 1945. She was employed by the Oklahoma Tax Commission for 37 years before retiring as the supervisor of the Proration Unit in October 1984. Clyda enjoyed oil and watercolor painting along with photography. She liked flower gardening and feeding the birds and squirrels near her home. Some of her happiest times in later life were spent with her great-great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jesse, her parents, brothers Larry, Sid and Elmo and sister Edith.

She is survived by her sister, Flossie, sisters-in-law Nina Lee and Irene Lee Ulrich and a host of nieces and nephews and their families.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 23, 2012 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Green Valley Cemetery in Mountain View, OK.
