The funeral for Hattie May Schulz, 85, Bison, who died Saturday, April 18, 1992, at Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City, will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday in Union Chapel Christian Union Church east of Hennessey with the Rev. Joseph L. Stubbs officiating.

Burial will be in Lyon Valley Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home of Enid.

She was born December 23, 1906, in Waukomis to E. B. and Lillian Mead Eckhardt. She was raised on the family farm southwest of Waukomis. She attended Liberty County school and church at Barr. She married Fred Schulz, on October 31, 1928, in Kingfisher. They lived on a farm east of Bison.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; five sons, Earnest of Wheatland, Merle of Sand Springs, Jack of Enid, Fred "Bill" of Hennessey and Marian "Bud" of Defiance, Missouri; a brother, Donald Eckhardt of Monet, Missouri; a sister, Edna Perry of Wellington, Kansas; a nephew, Floyd Nimmo of Washington; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great – grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters, two sons and a nephew.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Union Chapel Christian Union Church.
