December 1991

The funeral for Joseph Brown Jr., 65, who died December 31, 1991, at his home, will be at 11 AM Thursday at Henninger – Allen Funeral Home. The Rev. Coy Donakey will officiate. The casket will remain closed after the service. Family will gather at the Chapel with friends at 10:30 AM.

Burial will follow in Lyon Valley Cemetery, east of Hennessey.

He was born October 31, 1926, on a farm in Oklahoma to Joseph and Lillie Schulz Brown and attended school in Pioneer and Douglas. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II.

Surviving are two sons, Tommy Joe and Danny Ray; one daughter, Terry Lou Stinett; his mother, Lillie Brown of Enid Living Center; four sisters, Anna Brown of Douglas, Maxine Sadler of Perry, Betty Hamm of Stillwater and Elizabeth Baker of Waukomis; and two brothers, Herbert of Glencoe and Victor of Marshall.

He was preceded in death by one son and one brother.
