Burial will be 4 PM Friday in Kingfisher Cemetery.
He was born June 9, 1911, in Kingfisher to David Henry and
Martha Ellen Leslie Tinder and died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at
The Living Center of Enid.
He attended school in Omega area. On December 21, 1934, he
married Gladys Ross. They lived west of Kingfisher where they
farmed until 1956 when they moved to Enid. He became a full –
time carpenter and was employed with D. C. Bass, Cummins
Construction and Garry Munger until retiring in 1970s. He was a
member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Jack of Edmond, and Dean of Bailey,
Colorado; three daughters, Lois Sterling of Littleton, Colorado,
Margaret Pierson of Converse, Texas, and Marie Melvin of Enid;
11 grandchildren; and 28 great – grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1987, one son and seven
brothers and sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma
Medical Research Foundation, Alzheimer's Division, or to Special
Olympics.
