Funeral services for Irene Taylor, 90, will be at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Kingfisher at 2 PM Monday with the Rev. Eugene Jergensen officiating.

Burial will be in the Kingfisher Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service in Kingfisher.

Taylor was born in Tulsa on February 6, 1899, to Herman and Mary Ruhl. She lived in the Reading – Kingfisher area until 1986, then moved to the First Shamrock Nursing Center in Kingfisher.

Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and a member of the Emmanuelle Lutheran Church.

She is survived by four sons, Melvin and Harold of Kingfisher and Howard and Kenneth of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Marjorie Beasley of Kingfisher and Lorene Schroeder of Denver, Colorado; two sisters, Angeline Shay of First Shamrock Nursing Center and Erma Chappelle of Cashion; 10 grandchildren, five step – grandchildren, several great-  and great – great – grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles, a son, Leonard, and a grandson, Bill.

Memorials may be made to the First Shamrock Nursing Center or the Kingfisher Regional Hospital.
