Gladys Mary Stucks age 94 of Tuttle, formerly of Kingfisher, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Deaconess Hospital in OKC.

She was born September 30, 1921 in Healdton, OK. Her parents were Louis Andrew Ivey and Irene (White) Ivey. Gladys grew up a country girl and she learned how to work hard in the cotton and broomcorn fields. She kept that same hard work ethic throughout her life as a wife, mother and homemaker. Gladys attended Bailey Schools growing up and at the age of 18 she married Earl Raymond Stucks. Together they raised eight children, first living in the Bradley community and later moving to Alex, in 1949. After her children were raised she moved to Marlow in the early 1970’s and started working outside of the home. It was in 1976 at the age of 55; she learned how to drive and got a driver’s licenses. While living in Marlow she worked as a cook for various restaurants. In the 1990’s she moved to Kingfisher to be close to her daughter Earlene and her family. Gladys was a Christian and attended the Baptist church most of her life. Things she enjoyed doing in life were, gardening in her vegetable and flower gardens and quilting. She was actually an avid quilter and made nearly all her children and grandchildren something by hand. She will be remembered for her fabulous cooking skills and for her love for her family especially the children.

She was preceded in death by: Parents, Louis and Irene Ivey; Three brothers, J.D., Mark and Tom Ivey; A daughter and son-in-law, Earlene and Richard Cofer;

She is survived by: Seven children, Dale Stucks and wife Cindy of Newalla, Ray Stucks and wife Ronda of Blanchard, J. D. Stucks of Lindsay, Jiggs Stucks of Chickasha, Sue Wilmeth and husband Charles of Marlow, Melba Schoolfield and husband Jim of Bixby, Twyla Stucks of Grand Lake; One sister, Georgie Doyle and husband of Odessa, TX; 19 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, several great nieces and nephews, And a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Kingfisher Cemetery in Kingfisher, OK. Arrangements are with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
