The tolling of the church bell at seven o'clock Sunday evening announced to the people of this city the passing of Robert C. Palmer. Mr. Palmer was born near Louisville, Kentucky, of Scotch ancestry, and his age was forty years, one month and twenty-three days. He never married and had no relatives living except a sister who resides at Louisville, Kentucky.
He came to Oklahoma, April 22, 1889 and has been a resident of Kingfisher since that time.
The funeral was from the Congregational Church and was the largest in the history of Kingfisher. Rev. J. C. Calnon delivered an unrivaled oration.
The pall bearers were Judge A. J. Seay, Virgil M. Hobbs, James A. Morris, P. S. Nagle, W. W. Noffsinger and M.J. Kane. His grave is on the highest point in the cemetery.
At a meeting of the Kingfisher Bar Association, called together for the purpose, the following memorial of life and services of Robert C. Palmer... Memorial of the Kingfisher Bar of the death of Robert C. Palmer. Robert C. Palmer, an attorney at law, and a member of this bar, died at Kingfisher July 25, 1893. He was born near Louisville Kentucky on the 30th day of May, 1853.
