He resided at Loyal with his wife, Mary Elizabeth. They were married 22 years and had three children, Gary Howard Jr., Rheadonna Howard and Jamie Howell. He had 11 grandchildren; sister Mary Stevens; and brothers Donald Dupoint, Gib Little Calf and Alonzo Sankey.
He served in the Army in Vietnam.
Wake service 7 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013, at his Loyal home. Funeral 2 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2013, at God’s Covenant Church, Kingfisher. Internment in Kingfisher Cemetery. Kingfisher American Legion military rites.
