Ted Meier

The funeral for Ted Meier, 97, of Kingfisher, will be 10:30 a.m. today at Sanders Funeral Chapel, Kingfisher. The Rev. Jerry Sullaway will officiate. Burial will be in Kingfisher Cemetery with funeral rites by the American Legion.

He was born Sept. 12, 1910, in Kingfisher to Fred and Anne Edge Meier and died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, at Cimarron Nursing Center. He was raised in Reeding and farmed all his life.

He served in the Army during World War II in Europe with the Oklahoma 45th Division. He was the oldest World War II veteran in Kingfisher County.
