Magdeline Capitola (Cappie) Martin was born on March 27, 1921 in Allenreed, Texas to Winnie Lou and Luther Homesley.  She passed away on March 6, 2012 at Bellevue Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Oklahoma City.

Cappie grew up and attended grade school and high school in Texola, Oklahoma.  In 1938 she married Wilfred Wilcox from Kingfisher, Oklahoma. They lived in the Big Four community near Kingfisher where Cappie was active in the Home Demonstration Club.  She later moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma where she married Vernon Martin.  She concluded her life in Crescent, Oklahoma and was a member of the Lovell Women's Club before moving to assisted living in Edmond in 2008 and to Bellevue Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Oklahoma City in October 2011.  Her hobbies were gardening and quilting.  She was a member of the Church of Christ in Ponca City and Crescent.  She will be remembered by her family as a loving and caring mother.

She is survived by her children, Winnifred  Freshour of Edmond, OK, Vicki Holmes and husband Jim of Branson, MO, Stephen Wilcox and wife Vicki of Oklahoma City, OK, and Wendell Wilcox of Crescent;  four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. 

Interment will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 9, 2012 at Kingfisher Cemetery and a memorial service will follow at 12:00 P.M. at the Crescent Church of Christ with Jay Roney officiating. 
Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent. 

The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Mercy Hospice, 4401 W. Memorial Road, Oklahoma City, OK 73134.
