Leona (Browning) Loftis Madsen

The funeral for Leona Loftis Madsen, 81, of Kingfisher, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Leon Seaton will officiate. Burial will be in Kingfisher Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sanders Funeral Service Inc., Kingfisher.
She was born Feb. 10, 1926, in Searcy, Ark., to Captain McKinley and Effie Pegrum Browning and died Monday, June 18, 2007, at Kingfisher Regional Hospital.
She married Louis Loftis June 18, 1942, in Arkansas. He died in April 1970. She later married William Bill Madsen Sept. 23, 1977, in Hennessey. He died in August 2005.
She worked at 81 Café as a cook, at Kingfisher Nursing Home as a nurse aide, did babysitting and ironing for a living.
Surviving are two daughters, Alice Nelson of Kalispell, Mont., and Yuma, Ariz., and Gracie Bohannan of Kingfisher; two sons, Bud Loftis of Beggs and Steve Loftis of Kingfisher; two sisters, Mary Sexton of Ward, Ark., and Bessie Jackson of England, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
In addition to both husbands, Louis and William, she was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, five sisters and two brothers.
Memorials may be made to Russell-Murray Hospice.
