Margaret Mae (Bengs) Kuehn

Margaret Mae Bengs Kuehn, 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Kingfisher.

She was born July 5, 1926, to John William and Maude Leah (Goodbrake) Bengs.

Margaret was raised on a farm in Kingfisher County with two siblings, Mary and Johnny.

After graduating from Kingfisher High School, Margaret and Herman Kuehn were united in marriage on Oct. 30, 1944.

To the marriage were born six children: Shirley Kuehn, Robert Kuehn (Rose), David Kuehn (Theresa), Debbie Richards (Glen), Sherri Brownell (Loren) and Terry Kuehn (Cheri).

Margaret loved her children dearly as they loved her.
 

Grandsons include Robert Kuehn, Josh Kuehn, Levi Kuehn, Jacob Kuehn, Beau Creamer, Clint Cantrell, John Henry Richards, Michael Richards, Dustin Jones, Seth Whisenhunt, Justin Kuehn and Drake Wright.

Granddaughters include Melody Kuehn, Elizabeth Rogers and Alicia Pezdirc.

She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, two great- great- grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.


Margaret worked many years at Springer Market as a butcher.

She then worked at Pioneer Telephone for 13 years as a phone operator supervisor.

After retirement from Pioneer Telephone, she returned to work at Wheatheart Nutrition. She was instrumental in starting the Meals on Wheels program for Oklahoma.


She was preceded in death by husband Herman Kuehn in 1976; daughters Shirley Kuehn and Sherri Brownell; brother John Bengs; sister Mary Ellen Bengs; and grandson Ronnie Cantrell.
 

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at Frontline Ministries in Kingfisher with Pastor Debbie Burpo officiating. Services are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
 

Viewing was 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Sanders Funeral Service.
