Okarche – A wake for Catherine "Kate" Heupel, 94, will be 7 PM Tuesday in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at Calumet. The Rev. Omar Tabing will preside. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Phil Donohoe as celebrant.

Burial will be in Kingfisher Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sanders Funeral Service, Kingfisher.

She died Saturday, June 26, 1999, at Geary Community Nursing Home. She lived in the Okarche area most of her life and was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

Surviving are one son, George of Okarche; one daughter, Kathryn Grant of Calumet; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great – grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson, two brothers and six sisters.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
