Kingfisher – The funeral for R. C. Goodwin, 67, who died Sunday in an Oklahoma
City health center, will be at 2 PM Wednesday in the First Baptist Church at
Kingfisher. The Rev. Clyde Plunk will officiate. Burial will be in the
Kingfisher Cemetery under direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
Goodwin was born February 13, 1917, at Sandovla, Illinois. He and Geneva Marie
Young were married April 17, 1940 at Sapulpa. He was a member of the First
Baptist Church at Kingfisher and a retired oil field worker and landscaper.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva; two sons, Robert Clinton Goodwin Jr.,
Kingfisher, Frank J. Goodwin, Cleo Springs; three daughters, Kathy Sue Tisdale,
Janie Kay Harzman, both of Kingfisher, and Patricia Ann Goodwin, Denver,
Colorado; one brother, Zeno Edward Goodwin, Lafayette, Louisiana; one sister,
Beulah Clara Pope, Adair; and six grandchildren.
Memorials in his name may be made to the First Baptist Church at Kingfisher.
