Graveside services for Kathryn Wilhelmina (Gulker) Enix, 103, Hennessey, will be at 2:00 PM Saturday February 20, 2016 at Kingfisher Cemetery officiated by Paul Babiak. Arrangements are by 
Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Kathryn was born in Kingfisher on October 13, 1912 to W. Earl and Maude Callison Gulker and died Monday February 15, 2016 at the Hennessey Care Center.

Kathryn's family moved to Hennessey when she was three years old. She started her education in Hennessey. The family later moved to Omega where she attended school and she graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1929. She attended college at Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri and graduated from the University of Oklahoma. She earned membership in Phi Theta Kappa and Kappa Delta Pi.

Kathryn taught school in Omega, Geary, Hennessey and Lexington, Oklahoma. She worked for three banks including Farmers and Merchants Bank of Hennessey.

She married Cecil L. Enix on November 25, 1938. Kathryn taught in government child care schools while Cecil served in the Navy. She and Cecil loved to travel and visited all fifty states and many foreign countries.

Kathryn was a member of the Rebekah Lodge for over sixty years, the Order of the Eastern Star, American Association of University Women and the Shakespeare Club. She was instrumental in starting the Hennessey Public Library and was active in its operation for several years.

Kathryn taught piano and organ lessons for over sixty years and played at local churches in the communities in which she lived.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband Cecil; two sisters and one brother.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Hennessey Public Library or charity of donor's choice with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
