KINGFISHER - Funeral for John Deatherage Jr., 66, of Kingfisher, was held Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at First Baptist Church, Kingfisher. Burial in Kingfisher Cemetery with military rites conducted by Kingfisher American Legion Post 5. Arrangements by Sanders Funeral Service Inc., Kingfisher.

John was born May 25, 1946, in Shawnee to John A. Sr. and Mary Frances Huff Deatherage and died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at his homeSurviving are his father, John Sr. of Tecumseh; sons, Ryan Deatherage and wife Jill of Kingfisher, and Chad Deatherage and wife Tracy of Brookings, S.D.; sister, Carol Rice and husband, Merion of Chandler; and five grandchildren
