Funeral services for Delano Wymore, 68, will be March 15, at First Baptist Church Hennessey, Pastor LD Choate will officiate.

Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery under direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey, OK.

Delano died Monday, March 11, 2002, at St Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK.

He was born May 19, 1933, in Hennessey to Samuel and Myrna Bassford. Delano attended Hennessey Public Schools. He served in the U S Military during the Korean conflict He married Sylvia Copeland March 8, 1957 on the Kingfisher / Garfield County line.

He was preceded In death by his mother and stepfather, Omar Cain; his father; one brother; one grandson, and one son-in-law, Kirt Hoshstrasser.

Surviving are his wife, Sylvia, two daughters; four sons, Darrell Wymore, Dennis Wymore, Danny Wymore and Jeremy Wymore; one brother, Fred Cain; one sister, Luella Baker.

Memorial service for Sylvia Mae Wymore, 82 will be at 1:00 PM Friday March 1, 2019 at First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Chris Gordon.

A private family interment will precede the service. Arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Sylvia was born at Reydon, Oklahoma on January 31, 1937 to George William and Myrtle Mae Wood Copeland and died Saturday February 23, 2019 at Hennessey Care Center.

Sylvia married Delano Wymore at the “Marryin’ Tree” at the Kingfisher and Garfield County line on March 8, 1957. She was a founding member of 132 Bible Church.


Sylvia is survived by two daughters Brenda Vanderhoff, Carla Hochstrasser; three sons Darrell Wymore and wife Lori, Dennis Wymore and wife Teresa, all of Hennessey; Danny Wymore and wife Jennifer of Ames; grandson Jeremy Wymore who Sylvia raised, and his wife Tara; four brothers James Copeland of Ponca City, Tommy Copeland of Hennessey, Donnie Copeland of Enid, William Copeland of Pittsburgh, Kansas; one brother-in-law Fred Cain and wife Melody; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and eight great-greatgrandchildren.
 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Delano; one brother, one sister, one grandson, one greatgranddaughter, one son-inlaw and one daughter-in-law.
 

Memorial donations may be made to the Community Action Team with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
