Graveside service for Luella Mae Kokojan/Chermack Simunek, 92, will be at 2:00 PM Monday September 21, 2015 at Hennessey Cemetery officiated by Rev. Jimmy Berkenbile. Arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Luella was born at Southard on September 27, 1922 to John F. and Gladys Nokes Kokojan/Chermack and died Wednesday September 16, 2015 at Hennessey Care Center.

Luella graduated from Waukomis High School. She married Raymond L. Hart on September 27, 1941. Raymond died in action in July 1944 during WWII. She then married Frank J. Simunek on May 13, 1948. They made their home east of Hennessey.

Luella spent many years farming alongside her husband. She was a member of #1 Oklahoma Polka Club.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia Hart Throckmorton and husband Gary of Delmar, Delaware; one son Larry Simunek and wife Alice of Marshall; five grandchildren Brian Throckmorton and wife Suzanne of Laurel, Delaware, Chris Throckmorton and wife Bonnie of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Jennifer Throckmorton of Delmar, Delaware, Robert Simunek and wife Kristi, Loren Simunek all of Hennessey and eight great-grandchildren.

Luella was preceded in death by her husband Frank J. Simunek and one brother John Kokojan/Chermack.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to Hospice Circle of Love with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
