Jolene Bell (Borsberry) Rogers

The funeral for Jolene B. Rogers, 77, will be at 1:30 P.M. Friday March 19, 2021, at First Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Aaron Summers.

Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

There will be visitation with the family Thursday, March 18, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. 
 

Jolene was born in El Paso, Texas, on May 1, 1943, to Sam and Eunice Bird Borsberry and died Monday March 15, 2021, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid. 
 
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Baylor University and a Master's Degree in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. 
 
Jolene married Dr. Don Rogers in El Paso on August 12, 1967. 
 
She was a member of Billings Baptist Church. Jolene was a 4-H leader and was very active in various community organizations. 
 
She is survived by her husband Don of the home; one daughter Dulcie Summers and husband Aaron of Fort Worth, Texas; two sons, Joel Rogers and wife Darla of Glenpool, Justin Rogers and wife Shawna of Medina, Texas; six grandchildren Phoebe Rogers, Samuel Summers, Isabella Summers, Luke Rogers, Eli Rogers, Joclyn Rogers; and one brother Bert Borsberry and wife Lisa of California.

Jolene was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Janell Borsberry.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to Gideons International with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
