Robert Tighe "Bob" RIDDLE

The funeral for Robert Tighe “Bob” Riddle, 69, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2007, at First United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Robyn Thompson-Goggs. Burial will follow in Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey.
Bob was born Aug. 7, 1937, in Tulsa to Ray F. and Virginia Tighe Riddle and died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. Bob graduated from high school and served five years in the U.S. Army. He attended Stillwater A&M; and graduated from the University of Tulsa with a degree in personnel management, banking, and finance.
Bob married Earlene Chambers Aug. 31, 1956, in Tulsa. They moved to Hennessey in 1963 where Bob was employed at First National Bank until 1984. Bob was the voice of Hennessey Eagle Football, having announced home football games for 34 years. He also was emcee at numerous local events and parades during those years. Bob served on the Hennessey Fire Department for 20 years, was a member of the Kingfisher County Fair Board, the Kingfisher County Health De-partment Board, and the Hen-nessey Planning Commission and was instrumental in the construction of the Hennessey-Dover Community Building. He was one of the original incorporators of Hennessey Celebration Inc., and was its first president. Bob was very active in the Hennessey FFA, was a member of Coronado Masonic Lodge 56, past member of the Hennessey Jaycees and the Hennessey Lions Club, the IOOF Lodge and Sons and Daughters of the ‘89ers. He was a member of First United Methodist Church for over 40 years. During those years he served as church treasurer, youth group sponsor, church council and shared his love for music in the choir as the director and a member.
Bob is survived by his wife, Earlene, of the home; one daughter, Debbie Hladik, of Hennessey; three sons, Mike Riddle and wife Sharon, and Jack Riddle, all of Enid, Tim and wife Diane Riddle of Hennessey; nine grandchildren, Joe Hladik, Ray Hladik and wife Rachel, Phillip Hladik, Jessica Hladik, Randi Bowman and husband Trevor, Jordan Riddle, Kimberly Riddle, Cory Riddle, Dylan Riddle; and three great-grandchildren. His parents, one brother, and one sister preceded Bob in death.
