The funeral for Charley F. O’Hern, 101, of Hennessey, will be 3 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Union Chapel Church. L.D. Choate will officiate. Burial will be in Hennessey Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey.

He was born Sept. 12, 1908, southeast of Hennessey to Patrick and Jane Duncan O’Hern and died Thursday, March 11, 2010, at his home.

He married Evelyn Roberts Oct. 18, 1934, in Enid. They farmed and ranched southeast of Hennessey.

Surviving are one sister, Winifred Pryor of Tulsa; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, one daughter and 11 brothers and sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oak Grove Cemetery Association.
