Hennessey – The funeral for Harry Vern Mott, 82, will be 2 PM Monday at First Christian Church. The Rev. Ed Arbogast Jr. will officiate.

Burial will be in Hennessey Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cordry – Gritz Funeral Home. The casket will be open at the funeral home from 4 to 6 PM today at the church from 10 AM until service time Monday.

He was born July 3, 1917, in Shattuck to John Cornelius and Nellie Maud Mott and died Thursday, May 4, 2000, at his home in Colcord.

He was a retired farmer, spending most of his life in Hennessey area.

Surviving are two sons, Larry of Bethany and Donald of Fort Gibson; one daughter, Anna Mae Saunders of the home; one brother, Carl of Hennessey; one sister, Ethel Marion of Austin, Texas; and 20 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Atha, in December 1956, and his wife, Irene, in December 1998.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
