The funeral for Kayston Wade Hatchel, 6 years old was at 10:30 a.m. Monday April 23, 2018 at Hennessey Public School Auditorium officiated by Rev. Chris Gordon. Burial followed at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Kayston was born in Enid on February 12, 2012 to Dylan Hatchel and Charlsa Anderson and died Thursday April 19, 2018 at OU Children’s Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Kayston is survived by his father Dylan Hatchel of Hennessey, his mother Charlsa Anderson and one brother Carson of Enid; paternal grandparents Craig and Barbara Hatchel of Hennessey, Julie Lovell; maternal grandfather Charles Anderson; paternal great-grandparents Jim and Kay Lovell, greatgrandmother Pam Eastwood all of Enid, great-grandfather C. L. Hatchel of Highrolls, New Mexico; uncles Nathan Hatchel, Billy Chartier, III, his aunt Britney Chartier and cousins Jackson, Hayden, Lauren Hatchel, Bree Turner, two halfbrothers Khristian and Hendrix Anderson.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to “Kayston Strong” with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
