Funeral for John H. Gracey Jr., 59, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011, at New Light Baptist Church. The Rev. Sammy Gaines will officiate. Burial in Burn-Evans Cemetery, Dover. Arrangements by Russworm Funeral Home, Enid.

John H. Gracey Jr. was born April 13, 1951, to John H. Sr. and Nadean Gracey and died Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at his home. He grew up in Enid and attended Carver Elementary, Longfellow Junior High and Enid High School. He grew up in Enid and attended Carver Elementary, Longfellow Junior High and Enid High School. John joined the U.S. Army in May 1970 to August 1975. While in the Army he served in the Vietnam War. Afterwards, John went to work for the railroad company, Arco Oil and ONG. John loved to go hunting, fishing and working on cars.

John is survived by his mother, Nadean Gracey of Enid, Okla.; three daughters, Sherrie Burnett of Palm Desert, Calif., Crystal Gracey and Latisha Calwell, both of Enid; five brothers, Vincent, Mark, Phil, Theo and Julian, all of Enid; one sister, Erma Leak of Enid; one grandson, Jimmy; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, one sister and one brother. (Submitted by family)
