Michael Shannon Green departed this world Friday October 13, 2023, at his home.

Mike was born July 3, 1969, to Jimmie and Carolyn Hladik Green. He was welcomed by his big brother and sister. He graduated from Dover High School in 1987. He was an active member of FFA and always had show pigs. Throughout his high school years, he worked side by side drilling water wells with his grandpa “Andy” Green and cousin Neil Garlett. Following graduation, he went into his lifelong career in the oilfield. Mike enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids and hanging out with friends. He loved the sounds of slot machines paying out and laughter.

Mike is survived by his son Lane Green and wife Mallory, daughter Amberlee and companion Vance McNeil, granddaughters Marlea and Mackenzie, all of Hennessey; special companion Gina Wanzer; one brother Greg Green and wife Veronica; sister Lisa Thompson and husband Danny; four nephews, one niece, and many special aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jimmie and Carolyn Green, grandparents Andrew “Andy” and Vera Green, Antone and Vera Hladik and multiple aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday October 18, 2023, at Dover Christian Church officiated by Jimmy Berkenbile.

Burial will follow at Dover Cemetery under the direction of Cordry Gritz funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to Dover or Hennessey Volunteer Fire Department with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
