Francis Marion Hatfield

Francis Marion Hatfield was born in Howell County, Missouri, March 19, 1848. He was married April 6, 1872 to Rebecca Marshall. Then with his bride he moved to a farm near Ft. Smith, Arkansas, where their six children were born: Mrs. Lula Belveal, of Guthrie; Mrs. Sarah Hammond, of Cashion; Ben and George Hatfield, of Lockridge; and William Hatfield, of Cushing, and Jessie Hatfield who departed this life at the age of ten years.
With his family, Mr. Hatfield came to Oklahoma in 1889, settling on a farm three miles east of Cashion, where he resided until 1907 when he moved to southwestern Oklahoma. In 1916 they returned to Logan County and resided in Lockridge until his wife's death last November. Since that time he has resided with his two daughters, Mrs. Hammond and Mrs. Belveal, at which latter place he passed away Tuesday, January 15, 1935.
Burial was in the Cashion cemetery following funeral services in the Christian church conducted by the minister, Joe L. Pope, Wednesday afternoon, January 16.
