Stephen Nash Dixon

Stephen Nash Dixon, son of Samuel A. and Asenath B. Dixon was born September 2, 1862, near Des Moines, Iowa; died February 2, 1945, at the age of 83 years and five months, He came with his parents to Kansas at the age of 14, yrs, and lived in Elk County, where he was united in marriage with Lucinda Virginia Pitzer on January 8, 1884. To this union were born ten children, two sons dying in infancy. He pioneered with his family to Oklahoma in 1890, homesteading a farm three miles northeast of Cashion, where he lived until August 1941. He then moved to Cashion, where he made his home until his death.
He was converted when a young man, and had been an active member of the Free Methodist church for over 30 years.
His health had been failing for the past five years, but he and his wife were privileged to spend their 51st wedding anniversary together at the home of his eldest son, in Enid, on January 8.
He leaves to mourn, his wife Lucinda of Cashion; eight children, Albert Dixon, Enid, Mars Myrtle Krober, Cashion, Mrs. Nina Krober, Piedmont, Mrs Mildred Mavity, Los Angeles, Mrs Olive Globs, Los Angeles, Mrs Ethyle Hunt, Texas, Dwight Dixon, Wilmington, Calif., and Mrs Carrie Wade, Enid: also 28 grandchildren, Six of whom are in the armed services, and 29 great-grandchildren and many friends.
Funeral Services were conducted by Rev. A.B. Robinson, assisted by Rev. R.A. Haskins, in the Cashion Free Methodist Church, February 8, at 2 o’clock. With Internment in Cashion Cemetery.
