Graveside funeral services for Vera L. Collins, age 91 of Guthrie, OK. will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Cashion Cemetery, Cashion, OK. with Reverend Van Hudson of Abell Community Church, Guthrie, OK officiating. Services under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie, OK.

Vera was born January 12, 1918 in Navina, OK. to Otto and Musetta (Christner) Collins. She died May 31, 2009 in Guthrie, OK.

She was a member of the Abell Community Church. She had worked several years at Fairmont Creamery in Guthrie and was employed by Central Casket Company until her retirement. After retirement she enjoyed taking care of her great nieces and nephews and spending time with her family.

She is survived by one sister, Anita L. Chambers, Crescent, OK., three nieces, Ingrid, Greta and Randi, three nephews, Richard, Erik and Kurt and numerous great nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, and a cousin, Almuda Willford, Pueblo, CO and special friends, Dorothy Pritchet and Bob Moffitt.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents, Step-mother, Ida Collins, Sister, Dorothea Friend, and her brother-in-law, Ron Chambers.

Friends may call at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Wednesday 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family requested that the casket not be open at any time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Abell Community Church Building fund, 14452 North Broadway, Guthrie, OK. 73044.
