Funeral services
for John H. “Okie” Beutler, 86, of Cashion, OK will be held at 2:30 p.m.,
Monday, August 23, 2010 at Cashion Christian Church with Pastor Greg Davis of
First Baptist Church of Cashion and Pastor Jerry Sullaway of Cashion Christian
Church officiating. Interment will follow at Cashion Cemetery. Services are
under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie, OK.
John was born on September 26, 1923 in Williston, ND to Herman Ira and Alice
Jane (Robson) Beutler. He passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at his home
while surrounded by family.
He loved horses and dearly cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Pat Beutler of the home and her children Lisa Beutler
of Cashion, Kevin Syverson (Vonda) of Williston, ND, Kent Syverson (Karla) of
Williston, ND, and Kyle Syverson (Laura) of Avon Lake, OH and three
grandchildren he and Pat raised, Karin Isom (Kevin) of Hydro, OK, Jessica
Anderson (Jeff Steinke) of Williston, ND, and Kimberly Anderson (Shawn) of
Cashion; ex-wife Mary Lou Hasley of Cashion and her children Judy Nakavinda
(Charles) of Cashion, Mike Beutler of Wynnewood, OK, and Mark Beutler of
Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren Abby and Spike Gallemore, Nicole Arcand, Kody
and Keon Syverson, Kalyn and Keaton Syverson, Tammy Duncan (Lonny), Scott
Nakavinda (Laurel), Phillip Nakavinda, Amy Beutler, and Betsy Beutler; and
great-grandchildren Kenzie, Kendal, and Kamryn Isom, Kylee Anderson and Bailey
Steinke, Ocean Rae Anderson, Jayla Arcand, and Nathan Duncan. He is also
survived by his brother James Beutler (Ina) of Cashion and sisters Dorothy
Pritchett of Guthrie and Florence Jenkins of Midwest City, OK.
John is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Pam Syverson, son-in-law Bill
Gallemore, and six siblings.
Visitation will be Sunday, 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
