Mass of Christian Burial for Louis Joseph Vaverka, 93, will be celebrated at 10AM Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bison.  The Rev. Thomas Havlik will be celebrant.

Buris will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Hennessey under direction of Sanders Funeral Service, Kingfisher.

The Casket will be open until one hour before Mass.

He was Born March 11, 1900 at Hennessey to Anton & Frances (Pribyl) Vaverka & died Monday, Sep 13, 1993 in Kingfisher.

He attended St. Joseph's School, served on the kingfisher County Fair Board & was a retired farmer & insurance man.  He had farmed in the Hennessey area most of his life & Was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bison for 93 years

On Apr 26, 1927, he married Carrie Magdeline (Musil) at Hennessey.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Don of Dewey, 2 daughters, Mrs. Donald (Bonnie) Yost & Mrs. Bob (Betty) Boeckman, both of Kingfisher, one brother, Alvin of Hennessey, one sister, Agnes Iven of Hennessey, 14 grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 5 brothers, 2 sisters & one son, Clarence.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to OK Medical Research Foundation.

HENNESSEY - The funeral for Carrie Vaverka, 89, will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bison with the Rev. Alan Loth officiating.
 
Burial will follow at the Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service of Kingfisher.
 
She was born on January 10, 1907, in Jet to John and Julia (Fajitha) Musil and died Sunday June 23, 1996 at the Cimarron Nursing Center in Kingfisher.
She lived in Jet and Lovell, but lived in the Hennessey area most of her life. She married Louis J. Vaverka on April 26, 1927. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Altar Society in Bison. She was a member of the Bells & Beaux Square Dance Club.
 
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Yost and Betty Boeckman, both of Kingfisher; one son, Don Vaverka of Dewey; one sister, Bessie Lang of Enid; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
