Mass of Christian burial for Frank M. Pospisil, 84, will be 10 a.m. today, Dec. 27, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Frank was born near Bison on March 18, 1929, to Pete Frank and Mary Fuksa Pospisil and died Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at his home. He married Mildred Schneberger in Canute on Feb. 7, 1950. He married Mildred Schneberger in Canute on Feb. 7, 1950. Frank was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Joseph’s Mens Club, the Oklahoma  No.1 Polka Club and the Moose Lodge. He worked at Enid Concrete and retired after 33 years of service. He also farmed and ranched.

Frank is survived by his wife, Mildred of the home; two daughters, Karen Hokit and husband Denny of Locust Grove, and Bernadette Province of Yukon; two sons, Frank J. Pospisil, and Melvin Pospisil and wife Penny, all of Hennessey; two sisters, Alice Merritt of Fort Worth, Texas, and Georgiana Gungoll of Enid; eight grandchildren, Michele Hill, Brad Hokit, Becky Roberts, Clint Province, Jennifer Storck, Dillon Pospisil and Bradi Pospisil; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Dwight Boeckman; one sister, Agnes Petru; and one infant sister. Memorial donations may be made in his name to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds.
