Graveside services for Richard Dean Hickey, 76, Hennessey, will be 10am Saturday, March 24, 2012 in the St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery, Hennessey,, with Pastor LD Choate officiating. Services are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Richard was born on September 27, 1935 on the family farm East of Hennessey, the son of Joseph Lawrence and Mary Elizabeth Roder Hickey, and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in Hennessey. Richard was raised and educated in Hennessey, attending the Hennessey School System. He served in the United States Army and worked as a mechanic until his retirement. Richard married Gwendolyn Sue Tucker. To this union, two children, Karen LaJeanne Hickey and Tony Dean Hickey were born.

Survivors include his son Tony of Hennessey; brothers, Harold Hickey of Winnfield, Louisiana, and Ray Hickey of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and many other family members and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; Gwendolyn, sister, Patricia Harn, brother, Joe Hickey, and daughter, Karen.

Memorials may be made in Richard’s memory to the Hennessey Care Center with the Stittsworth Family serving as custodian of the fund.
