George Ray Frazier passed peacefully on December 17, 2016 at his home in Tonkawa surrounded by his wife and family. He was 81.

Ray was born the son of Forest Ray Frazier and Doris Dean (Spencer) Frazier in Tonkawa, Oklahoma on July 1, 1935. Ray lived his whole life in the Tonkawa and Kay County Area. He attended elementary school at the Pratt Center School west of Tonkawa and graduated from Tonkawa High School in 1953. He was a member of the 1952 State Champion football team and active in FFA. He was a member of the Army National Guard where he obtained the rank of Sergeant First Class. On February 12, 1954 Ray married Shirley Ailey at the First Christian Church in Tonkawa. Ray and Shirley were married nearly 63 years. Together they have three children: Kevin, Mark and Jill.

As a young man, Ray worked for his father on the farm before starting his career. He retired from Conoco in 1998. After retirement Ray enjoyed traveling across the United States and Canada. He has visited every state except Hawaii. Ray was a Deacon at the Christian Life Church of Tonkawa. He went on several mission trips to 3M Orphanage in Mexico.

Ray is survived by his wife, Shirley; brother Roland Frazier; sons, Kevin Frazier of Ponca City, Mark Frazier and wife Kim of Tonkawa, and daughter Jill Fath and her husband Tony of Tonkawa; grandchildren Kammi and Brandon Dowler, Katy Frazier, Kris and Chad Ashley, Justin Frazier, Kory Frazier, Brady and Grace Anne Fath, Casy and Theresa Fath, and Stony and Aly Fath and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Christian Life Church in Tonkawa at 2:00 p.m. with his Sunday School teacher, Joe Kreger officiating. Burial will follow at the IOOF cemetery. The care of the family is entrusted to the Trout Funeral Home of Tonkawa. Viewing will start on Wednesday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Thursday, 9:00 am till noon.
