March 14, 1960 - September 13, 2019

Ricky Wayne Ailey, age 59, of Nardin, Oklahoma passed away September 13, 2019 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Tonkawa with Pastor Terry Ballard officiating.

Following the ceremony, Ricky will be laid to rest at I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects at Trout Funeral Home in Tonkawa on Tuesday, September 17th from 9 am to 8 pm.

Ricky was born on March 14, 1960 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Floyd and Lucille (Allen) Ailey. Ricky grew up in Tonkawa and attended school from kindergarten through graduation with the Tonkawa senior class of 1978.

Ricky enjoyed playing baseball and football. He played football from third grade through his senior year. He enjoyed hunting and especially enjoyed fishing with his dad and brothers.

Ricky worked hard all of his life and had various jobs including working in the oil fields, working at Purdue chicken hatchery in Maryland and most recently, was employed by Farmers Co-op at Braman.

Survivors include his parents, Floyd Ailey and Sondra (Simpson), his favorite sister, Debra Yeary and her fiancé Raymond Schiltz of Ponca City, his brother, Dennis Ailey and wife Ruth of Ponca City, sister-in-law, Paula Ailey of Tonkawa, his significant other, Earline Redding of Nardin as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille (Allen) Ailey, Alfred and Mary Allen, Loran and Ruth Ailey and Jett and Lucille Simpson, brother, Danny Ailey, three nephews, Chad Ailey, Alden Ailey, Eric Ailey and niece, Kristen Ailey.

Pallbearers will be: Terry Ailey, Eric Greenfield, Dakota Ailey, Mike Bushman, Steve Bushman, Larry McMillen, and Terry Pendleton. Honorary pallbearers will be the Tonkawa High School Class of 1978.

Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Tonkawa.
