Dolores B. Kimmel, resident of Ponca City, passed Sunday, April 3, 2011 at the Via Christi Village. She was 81.

Dolores was born December 23, 1929 at Dunkerton, Iowa, the daughter of Mathias J. Ortner and Margaret Loretta Brown Ortner. She attended the Dunkerton Schools and later taught school in the area.

She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church and the St. Marys Guild. She always enjoyed the company of her family and helping out at the McCord Senior Citizens Center. Her other enjoyments included playing cards, shopping and crafts.

She is survived by her three children, Duane Hunt and wife, Sharon, of Ponca City, David Hunt and wife, Sheila, of Bartlesville, and Susan Klinger and husband, Jerry, of Ponca City two brothers, Richard Ortner and John Ortner, and wife, Dorothy two sisters, Mary Knebel and Helen Weber, and husband, Ralph 11 grandchildren and 10 great grand children daughterinlaw, Debbie Hunt and soninlaw, Douglas MacDonnell also many other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents three husbands, Francis Hunt, Rusty Long and Duncan Kimmel one infant brother, Robert two sisters, Kathleen Sorenson and Dorothy Youngblut four children, Patricia Hunt, Janice MacDonnell, Charles Hunt and Steven Hunt one infant granddaughter, Patricia MacDonnell.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2011 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Grace Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2011 at St. Marys Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
