Johnnie Wayne Schooley, SR., 61, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 in Sun City Center, FL.

Johnnie was born on December 23, 1950 in Stillwater, OK to Junior and Elsa Cook Schooley. Johnnie attended and graduated Ponca City schools. After graduation he enlisted in the US Army and retired as a Staff Sergeant after 23 years of service. Johnnie was also a member of the American Legion. He married Lana Weaver on May 12, 1983 in Salina, TN. He went to VoTech Plumbing School in Elizabethtown,KY, and they had lived in Florida since 1997.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, GranddaughterLily and a nephewLeo. Two infant nephews and one infant niece. Johnnie is survived by his wifeLana, Children and their spouses Johnnie W. Becky Schooley, JR., Mistie Martin, Brandie and Terry Moyer all of Ponca City and Lorie Schooley of Riverview, FL. Brothers and their wives Ronnie Teresa Schooley of Bartlesville, OK, Larry Grace Schooley of Waverly, NY and sister and her husband Dixie Jerry Nash of Ponca City. 19 grandchildren and 2 greatgrandchildren. Host of other relatives and friends.

Family to receive friends at Grace Memorial Chapel, Wednesday evening from 68 pm.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Grace Memorial Chapel with Brother J.D. Steelman officiating.

Burial with Military Rites will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, 825 N.E. 13th, OKC, OK 73104.
