Shirley (Kathie) Perdue


November 20, 1935 ~ July 7, 2021

Shirley (Kathie) Perdue, 85, beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on July 7, 2021. She entered this world on November 20, 1935, in Enid, Oklahoma, born to Floyd and Florence Allen Perdue.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2021, in the Grace Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ron McCormick officiating. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City. Casket bearers will be Kelvin Perdue, Allen Barr, Tyler Perdue, Dakota Barr, Nicole Barr, Craig Williams and Doug Williams.

She grew up in Kay County graduating from Blackwell High School in 1953 and moved to Ponca City in the mid 1050's she met the love of her life Robert A. Perdue, and they were married June 2, 1962, in Ponca City, OK and they made their home in Ponca City. Kathie was a charter member of the Bible Methodist Church in Ponca City and she enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, camping, being in the outdoors, sewing, quilting, gardening, and painting.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband Robert of 59 years, 2 sons; Kelvin Perdue and wife Roberta and Kurt Perdue all of Ponca City, OK 1 Daughter; Kay Barr and husband Allen of Florida, Eight grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother.
