Robert L. McDaniel a resident of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Westridge Nursing Home. He was 96. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Resthaven Memorial Park with Rev. Larry Metzger officiating.

Robert was born May 19, 1920 in Tonkawa, OK to William F. and Velma (Milligan) McDaniel. Robert joined the U.S. Army Air Corp on December 17, 1941 through September 13, 1945, serving in North Africa and Italy. He married Norma L. Cassity on July 9, 1949. Robert was a member of the American Legion Post 14, the First Christian Church, Ponca City, OK where he served as a deacon and assistant Scout Master.

Robert is preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his Daughter, Marcia McDaniel, Son Phillip McDaniel and wife Svetlana; one grandson, Kyle McDaniel and one great-granddaughter, Kylee; and one sister-in-law Bettie L. McDaniel.
