Mary Jean Kingsolver

Mary Jean Kingsolver, Ponca City resident for over 40 years, died early Wednesday morning in Ponca City Nursing Home. She was 72.
Born June 19, 1910 in Oklahoma City, the daughter of Dana T. and Mae Tracy McIver, she graduated from Classen High School, and attended Oklahoma City University and the University of Oklahoma. She was active in clubs and church work at First Presbyterian Church where she was a member.
Surviving are a son, Jim Kingsolver of Los Alamitos, Calif. and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theron E. Kingsolver, on Feb. 9, 1977, and a daughter, Mary Agnes Backs, on Oct. 1, 1971.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church with the pastor, the Rev. G. Kenneth Gates, officiating. E.M. Trout and Sons Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery.
Memorial funds have been established with Presbyterian Women's Association and Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. Contributions may be made in Mrs. Kingsolver's name through the office of First Presbyterian Church or directly to the Foundation at 825 NE Thirteenth, Oklahoma City, Ok.73104.
