Edmund Gilbert (Irish) Kenyon passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at his home in LaPlace, Louisiana. He was 78 years old and had previously been a resident of Ponca City for 12 years before moving in 1981. The family will greet friends in the historic Great Room at Trout Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 21 from 4-7 pm. A funeral ceremony for Edmund will be held at Trout Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 11:00 am with Pastor Dr. Bennie Cashman of First Christian Church in Osawatomie, KS officiating. Following the ceremony, Edmund will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park. Casket bearers will be Randy Kenyon, Jon Alexander, Bobby Robbins, Christopher Boudreaux, Dalton Kenyon and Brandon Coleman with Doug Cashman as an honorary casket bearer.

Edmund was born on February 2, 1938 to Harry Clifford Kenyon, Sr. and Virginia Lee Brown in Concordia, Kansas. He married Eunice Marlene Cashman on April 9, 1957 in McCook, Nebraska. He was a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

He is survived by his daughter, Linda Milhas of LaPlace, Louisiana, son, Randy Kenyon a.k.a. “Sexy Beast” and wife, Ruthie Kenyon, grandchildren, Amber Alexander and husband Jon, Tiffani Kenyon, Ashley Hanna, and Dalton Kenyon, greatgrandchildren, Briana Alexander, Jonathan Alexander, Kayleigh Alexander, Makaila Alexander, Joshua Alexander, Caitlin Kenyon, Emily Kenyon, Kaitlin Hanna, Abigail Hanna.

He was preceded in death by his love of his life, Eunice Kenyon, parents, son Jay Kenyon, two brothers, Bill Kenyon and Skip Kenyon, as well as his grandson, Caleb Kenyon.
