Mathew Tyler James passed away on May 23, 2017 in Ponca City. Mat was born on August 6, 1991 in Ponca City to his mother, Christy (Breedlove) Daine and father, Rennie James. Mat grew up in Ponca City and graduated from Ponca City High School in 2010. He worked at Brand Energy.

Mat enjoyed fishing, grilling, and camping. He loved his pet, Bailey, shooting off fireworks, and having a good time.

Mat is survived by his dad, Rennie and his wife, Diane James of Marland, OK, his mom, Christy and her husband, Scott Daine of Ponca City, OK, sister Jessica and her husband, Michael Osborn of Ponca City, Ok, brothers, Robert and his wife, Amanda James and Christopher and his wife, Jessica James, half brother Levi and his wife, Ashley Branson of Tonkawa, Ok, step-sister, Katie and her husband, Tommy Irving, step-brother, Josh and his husband, Cameron Smith, nieces: Hailey, Payton, Amoura, Aubrey, Harper and Rosalie, nephews: Wesley, Logan, Peyton, Jesse, Easton, and Michael Jr., grandmothers, Gail Edwards of Ponca City and Marlene Evans of Ponca City, grandfather, Kenneth Evans of Marland and numerous aunts, uncles, and a gajillion cousins.

Mat was preceded in death by Harold James of Ponca City and Steven Breedlove of Guthrie.

A funeral ceremony for Mat will be held at the Ponca City Life Center, 1300 W. Grand Ave, on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends and family may come by Trout Funeral Home & Crematory to pay their respects on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 and Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Pall Bearers will be: Robert James, Chris James, Michael Osborn, Bob Keathley, Alex Benitez, and Josh Smith. Honorary Pall Bearers will be: Brandon Evans and Cameron Smith.

Mat loved his friends and family and will be deeply missed.
