Betty Ann Hibbs of Ponca City passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017. Betty was born on November 28, 1940 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Tom and Elizabeth Price. She was raised in Muskogee, Oklahoma and Newton, Kansas before coming to Ponca City and graduating from Ponca City High School. She attended OSU. On July 8, 1972, she married Jay Hibbs at the First Lutheran Church in Ponca City. Betty had one son, Joel Hibbs born on May 23, 1974.

Betty was a member of the First Lutheran Church and active in the Lutheran Women's Guild and Card Ministry. She worked at the local Dwyer's Hallmark Shop for many years and was co-owner of Shanghai Music & Sound, Inc in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Betty especially loved her husband and her son along with her extended family, many friends and neighbors.

She is survived by her husband Jay, son Joel and wife, Bea, sister, Linda Eberhard and husband, Eddie, sister-in-law Sharon Hunt and husband Duane, nephews, Brian Eberhard, Brett Eberhard, Beau Eberhard, Paul Hunt, and David Babb, nieces, Julia Johnson and Angela Hamlin. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her sister, Tomi Babb, and brother-in-law Ron Babb.

Betty will be available for viewing at Trout Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 22-23, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Family will be available to greet friends on Tuesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. A funeral ceremony to celebrate Betty's life will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Ponca City with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
