Ann suffered a life-changing stroke in the autumn of 2002 and moved to Austin, Texas, where her daughter Barbie and family cared for her. While in Denver for the holidays, she experienced a debilitating stroke. Ann shared her life and blessed many with her animated storytelling, spirited nature and delicious cheesecakes. She was a loving wife as well as a selfless and incredible mother. Ann enjoyed cooking, sewing, crossword puzzles, pinochle and dominoes with friends. She was an avid reader, loved Oklahoma football and her many pets.

She is survived by three children, David Helton and wife Sue of Ponca City, OK; Barbie Moyer and husband Parke of Austin, TX; and Patti Helton of Denver, CO. Her grandchildren include Darbie Sixkiller and husband John of Oklahoma City, OK; Spencer and Blake Helton of Ponca City; and Madison and Camille Moyer of Austin, TX.
