Ponca City resident Sarah Elizabeth Cook, affectionately known as Sarah Beth, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 in Oklahoma City. She was 30.

Sarah was born January 1, 1979 in Ponca City, the first baby of the New Year. She was the daughter of Chris Cook and Sara Jane Glass Cook. She attended school at the First Assembly Christian School, McCord Grade School and was also home schooled. At the time of Sarah Beths death she was preparing to become a medical assistant at Platt College. Her interests included music, studying the Bible, playing Skip-Bo and Mexican Train, serving in the church and her two dogs Ginger and Cinnamon.

Sarah Beth is survived by her parents; Chris and Sara Jane Cook of Ponca City; two brothers, Steve Cook and wife, Melanie, of Hewitt, Texas and Jim Cook and wife, Kristi, of Fort Collins, Colorado; one sister, Melanie Palmer and husband, Dave, of Fairfield, California; nieces and nephews, Erin, Hannah, Jack, Jimmy, Jill, Katelyn, Kelsey, Kyler, Keegan and Korben; her aunts and uncles, Larry and Betty Cook, Annette Duffy, Bill and Linda Cook, Ike and Marybeth Glass, Marcia and Park Nelson, Shirley and Neil Douglas, Larry and Joy Glass, Bill and Kathy Glass; numerous other cousins, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Tom and Anna Belle Cook and her maternal grandparents, Marlin and Maxine Glass, and one niece, Kallis Cook.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the Southwest Baptist Church, 1300 SW 54th Ave., Oklahoma City. A graveside service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Ponca City. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
