Archie Barrick longtime Ponca City resident passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at the Via Christi Nursing Care Center. She was 99 years of age. Funeral services will be held 10 am Monday, August 7, 2017 in the First Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Adam Phillips pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City.

Archie was born February 26, 1918 to Hattie Mae Haskins in Eads, Colorado. Archie married Hosea Lamb in 1936 and they were blessed with three children; Joe, Anna Mae and David. Hosea passed away in 1979. Archie later married Paul Barrick in 1981 and enjoyed many years together, until his passing in 1989. Archie worked for a time in the Ponca City School system as a cook. Archie loved her family and was a dedicated homemaker. She also enjoyed fishing, playing cards and dancing. One of her greatest passions was entertaining family. She was known for to be a great cook and would insist on providing for all who visited her. Archie attended First Free Will Baptist Church and was a very active member until health issues prevented her from participating. She was also passionate and loving of the congregation.

Surviving to cherish her memory include children; Joe Lamb and wife Minnie of Shallowater, TX, Anna Mae Paisley and husband Neal of Arkansas City, KS and David Lamb of Yukon, OK. Grandchildren; June Solomon and husband Kurt of Arkansas City, KS, Cara Eaton and husband Randy of Wichita, KS, Melanie Lamb of Grapevine, TX, Debra Lamb and wife Jill of Grapevine, Tx and Chris Lamb of Perry, OK. Archie was also blessed with five Great Grandchildren; Bryce Scott and wife Talia of Lawrence, KS, Shelby Scott of Wichita, KS, Carson Solomon of Arkansas City, KS, Ryan and Samuel Hopper of Grapevine, TX. Surviving also are two great great grandchildren; Tayten Blatchfield of Wichita, KS and Haisley Scott of Lawrence, KS. One nephew; Dan Haskins and wife Paula of Eureka, CA.

Archie was preceded in death by her mother; Hattie Mae Haskins, 2 husbands; Hosea Lamb and Paul Barrick, brother; Roy Haskins and most recently a daughter in law; Betty Lamb.

The family has requested memorial donations be made to the First Free Will Baptist Church, 1900 E. Hubbard Rd, Ponca City, OK 74604 or Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 445 Fairview Ponca City, OK 74601 in her name.
