Patsy Ruth BalesOwens, 70, of Ponca City, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at her residence. Patsy was born on December 15, 1941 in Madill, OK to James and Ruth Hensley Bales.

Patsy moved to Ponca City with her parents at a very early age. She attended Ponca City Schools, graduating from Ponca City High School. Patsy was raised Baptist and had been a 55 year member of the Ponca City Foursquare Church. She and Jimmy Frank Owens married on May 8, 1960 here in Ponca City. She had worked for the Illinois Canning Co. and WalMart, but most of her life she was a homemaker. Patsy enjoyed time with her family, collecting dolls, tea cups saucers, salt dips, antiques and shopping. Patsy loved all children and was referred to as MOM by everyone.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents 1 sister Cozetta BalesHand and her youngest sonDamon Kyle Owens.

Patsy is survived by her husbandJimmy, children Tanya Renee Owens of Tonkawa, Jimmy Jerome Owens of Ponca City, Tyrone Franklin Owens of Blackwell. Grandkids Cameron Wendy McGuire of Des Moines, IA, Marc Christina Cassaw of Bryan, TX, Nikki Owens, Eric Ashley Kimbrel, Sabrina Fell Wiley, Deseree Owens and Nathan Owens all of Ponca City, Caitlin Christopher Donnell of Bartlesville, Tyler Owens, Chance Owens and Caleb Owens all of Ponca City. Great Grandkids Bryce Harrison McGuire, Adrianana Cassaw, Ella Grace Kimbrel, Kaden, Kaje Kell Wiley, Lillie White, Kyndall Rowdy Donnell. Siblings Peggy Owens of Ponca City, Lavanda Garrett of Madill, James Bales of Ponca City, Judy Mitch of Ponca City and Curtis Bales of Tonkawa. Lifelong Friends Kenny Joyce Sherron, Tom Patsy Wynn.

Funeral Services will by 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 2, 2012 at the Ponca City Foursquare Church with Pastor Blaine Herron, Pastor Dale Henshaw and Grandson Cameron McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
