Robert ''Bob'' Bailey longtime Ponca City resident passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at his home with his family and his beloved sissy cat by his side. He was 78 years of age. Bob was born September 2, 1938 in Decatur, Illinois to Robert and Mary Hoffmire Bailey. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017 in the Grace Memorial Chapel with Mrs. Amy Mabry officiating. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Bob grew up in Illinois and graduated from high school there and also worked on Dairy Farms while attending school. Upon graduation he joined the United States Army and began his career. He met Verna Lee Jones and they were married on January 30th 1958 in Waynesville Missouri. Sadly the marriage ended in divorce but kept in touch through the years. He later married Mary Dischhauser on September 30th 1972 in Dillon, South Carolina and she preceded him in death in 1976. Bob married Maxine Law Butler on August 6, 1977 in Dillon, South Carolina and she preceded him in death in March of 2004. After Bob retired from the U S Army in 1978 he came to Ponca City and went to work for various companies until he went to work for Smith Bit and retired from Smith in 2010. Throughout the years Bob enjoyed Camping, fishing on the river and going to Traders Bend whenever he could. Bob also enjoyed attending his children's activities and spending time with his grandkids.

Survivors include: 13 children: Charles Bailey and wife Elizabeth of Illinois, Thomas Bailey of Illinois, Richard Bailey of Illinois, Keith Bailey of Missouri, Roger Bailey and wife Jenna of Illinois, Robin Simmons and husband Donald, Mary Powell and husband Dennis, Donna Bush, Arthur Dischhauser, Lisa Dischhauser, Dennis Butler of Kansas, George Roe and wife Donna and Jim Roe and wife Marsha of Kansas. 1 sister; Joan Benrexi and husband David of South Carolina. Also surviving are 37 grandchildren, 58 Great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren and numerous Nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, 2 wives; Mary and Maxine, 1brother; Stephen Bailey and 1 sister; Katherine Hays, 2 sons; Robert James Bailey and Michael Bellanger , 1 daughter in law; Beth Bailey, 1 granddaughter; Kylie Long, 1 grandson; Adam Roe.
