Bill Joe WRIGHT, JR.

Resthaven Cemetery

Bill Joe Wright, Jr.
November 3, 1959 - March 7, 2024

Bill Joe Wright, Jr, 64, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away on March 7, 2024. Bill was born to Bill Wright Sr. and Sally (Gardner) Wright on November 3, 1959 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was a loyal, kind, honest man of integrity, a wonderful husband of 42 years, an incredible father and grandfather, and a great friend to many. And although not formally, he was a teacher of sorts to all who knew him, especially his children.

He worked for his father at Bill Wright Masonry as a talented brick mason from a young age, through high school, and eventually took over the company when his father passed away in 1993. His beautiful masonry work can be found on almost every block of Ponca City and well beyond, leaving his legacy as strong and steady as he was. In 2014, he joined USI as a Safety Manager where his impact and wisdom has been felt for the past decade. In his free time he loved to spend time with his family and friends, golfing, fishing, and hunting, and in his later years also loved to cook and garden.

Bill is survived by his wife Barbara Wright, his two children and their spouses, Hillary Wright and Keith Clingman, and Tucker and Jenna Wright, as well as his two grandchildren whom he loved more than anything, Sofie and John Wright, his mother Sally Wright, his sister Diane Schielz and her husband Stan Schielz. Bill was preceded in death by his father Bill Wright Sr.

Bill's funeral service will be held Monday, March 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at the Carolyn Renfro Center, 445 Fairview Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601. Those unable to attend the Funeral Ceremony, may attend virtually on the Trout Funeral Home website, www.troutfuneralhome.com and click on the live-stream or toolbar icon on the top right corner after 1:45 PM.

Flowers are welcome, especially sunflowers, his favorite. Donations can also be made to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma Healing Garden, 445 Fairview Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Trout Funeral Home from 4pm-6pm, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.

Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
