Shirley Ruth (Bain) Patten
November 26, 1939 ~ December 22, 2022 (age 83)

Shirley Ruth (Bain) Patten left this earthly world on December 22, 2022, at the age of 83.

Shirley was born on November 26, 1939, in Newkirk, Oklahoma to John and Fern Bain. She grew up in Uncas, Oklahoma and attended the local church and schools. After her early education in Uncas, she graduated from Ponca City High School in 1958. Shortly after graduation, she married the love of her life, Charles Patten.

She is survived by her friends and neighbors who cared deeply for her the last few months of her life. This included a 7-year-old neighbor boy who thought Shirley was more of an adopted sister than and adopted grandparent. She loved this sweet boy and would not let him leave her side when he would visit her. Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband, caring parents, and her brothers and sisters.

Services are pending and under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel in Ponca City. Her memorial will be graveside at Resthaven Memorial Park, where she will be buried next to her loving husband. There will be no viewing or visitation.
